Lebron, meet Shaq
The Cleveland Cavaliers just pulled off a deal to get Shaquille O'Neal. I love how people are making such a huge deal out of this. This is not the Shaq of old. With him and Ilgauskas you have one of the slowest combos of big men ever.
But still, if Shaq can be half as effective as he was last year in Phoenix, this should be a decent move for the Cavs. All I'm saying is hold off on printing those Championship T-Shirts.
Don't get too excited Cavs fans. This does not cure all.In other NBA trade news the Spurs got Richard Jefferson, the Wizards got Mike Miller and Randy Foye in exchange for the number five pick, and the Hawks are close to getting Jamal Crawford.
Still time to get in on the BFNSports Draft Challenge.

i once told someone i love them more than the number freethrows Shaq misses, but then I realized that was just too much love, so I took it back. Shaq is a really nice guy though. I met him once.
Shaq is one of those players you can't help but love. Even though he might be older and slower, this is still the most exciting thing to happen to Cleveland since LeBron. At least the Cavs are trying to send help his way.
Wizards effing failed..what are you going to do with 6 guards and no real proven big men. They kill me. The shaq move was a decent one, still too much hype around it. Word on the street is nash is trying to play for new york.
Like I said on my own blog (shameless plug) the Cavs give away virtually nothing, don't jeopardize their long term plans (keeping Lebron and getting someone like Chris Bosh in 2010) and get to rent an effective player for a year. Good move.
You have to hand it to the Cavs. They saw an oppourtunity to get a slow elderly man and they jumped at it. kudos.
